What the hell is wrong with my car?

recently when i start my car (only occasionaly) my ABS Inop light comes on and theres a whiny sound coming from what seems to be the driver side speaker. this has happened on occasion for awhile, usually if i turn it off and start her back up it goes away. i figured no biggy ill figure it out later. the brakes still seemed to work fine and all. abs did not seem to be inop when it said it was, i tested it out in different conditions. the car still drove fine but now its been acting up even worse. yesterday i started her up and she didnt start at all. the "security" light came on. i kept trying and got pissed it wouldnt start. then i waited a minute tried it and the damn thing started.... i did nothing different lol. then she drove fine again. now 2nite i start her up to come home and it makes a deeper whiny sound sounds like a damn ghost or something and my check gauges light came on and the gauges were goin nuts flyin up to 60mph at idle. all the lights in the car got dim. i shut her off, started her back up. everything was fine but the sound was still there. oh and the whiny sound goes to a higher pitch the higher the rpms. i heard somewhere if a ground wire is bad it can make a whiny sound? but this seems to be more than that anyways. but it seems like some kind of wiring/computer problem. only wiring mods ive done was the deck and my sequential taillights, both which have been installed for a long time without a problem. only ground that mite not be good is the decks ground isnt the best but its never been a problem before. any help?!?!

You need a new battery... electronics and gauges go haywire just before a battery gives in, the PCM will also malfunction alot aswell due to this...nothing major, just get a new battery and see if that fixxes the problem. If it fixxes the problem for awhile but it comes back later you may also need a new altnernator....

i thought about the battery issue and the car still always starts fine so i figured thats not it. the battery was replaced only a couple years ago if that. i found that the radio ground wire did come apart and so i fixed that. so far nothing has happened again but that whining sound is still there. just not as loud. ill have to see if theres another ground somewhere

Can you tell where the sound is coming from? does it only occur when the car is in gear? If not, put it in park and raise the hood, listen for it and tell us where it seems to come from...

I had that same issue come up on my car. At first I thought the same things but down the road a few months the alternator went out and with it. it took the battery. I'd take it down to your local autozone style place and have them run a diagnostic on it. its usually free. just have them test the alternator and the battery.

G'luck with it.
