Re: What is the Best cold air?

I just put an SLP CIA on mine seems to get more air....not much real performace for $260+ 1hrs worth of hassle to put it in.

Good luck

First off i'd take the Z28 badges off your V6.

As far as the CAI goes, the SLP is fine but there will not be much of a gain.

Re: What is the Best cold air?

All of the CAI kits will perform almost identically, except for the G2 one. Avoid it. I got the SLP for the clean looks.

Is SLP absolutely the best? Nothing out there better? How about the whisperlid?

Re: What is the Best cold air?

I installed a Moroso CAI on my '93 and am pleased with the performance. It IS a '93 Z28, but I do believe they make one for the V6, plus it's a little cheaper than the SLP, so I'd go with that one, unless you like the looks of the SLP since it's chrome; the Moroso is plastic, but does look good when you put Armor-All on it. I paid $189.95 for it at my local speed shop, but it can be purchased on www.jegs.com, or www.summitracing.com, and I'm sure many other sites as well. Also, the website for Moroso is www.moroso.com. One more thing, my girlfriend owns a '94 3.4 Camaro. She found a site that is dedicated to performance for the 3.4 Camaros and Firebirds. The site is www.camarov6.com. Hope that helped some, and good luck with the CAI.

Exactly! Take those Z28 badges off, and if you really need to put a badge there, throw on a couple of Type R badges. And maybe a v-tec badge for good measure.

No, it will give you a rattling noise (the air being sucked in sounds kinda strange, doesn't sound good) when you start it up for a little while until your engine warms up. But it gives good gains. I had the SLP CAI when I had the 97 v6 Camaro. You'll definitely feel a difference.
