at school this guy says he has a hight 10 sec v6 camaro.with no power adders.and his brother built the car for him.i started asking questions and all he said was every part on the car is a preformance part.and that he can spin the tires from 1st to 5th.
i say .. what do you guys think.
oah and he said it hasnt been rebuilt and it has two hunderd and thirty thousand miles on it.

If you check out http://timeslips.firebirdv6.com you'll see the best time on there atm is 12.394 (which is extremely impressive btw). So there is no way this kid is in the 10's. Besides even if it was possible it would be several thousand dollars worth of mods that he is not likely to have.

He probably said he has a ten second car because he has seen the Fast and the Furious one too many times. Ever since that movie came out there has been an outbreak of "10 second cars" that produce 13-20 second timeslips.

I took my 12 year old nephew for a ride in my car last week. He was so impressed with how it looked and how fast it was he asked me if was a 10 second car. I said lemme guess you own the FATF movie? And surprisingly enough he said yes.

I then explained to him that 10 second 1/4 miles are insanely fast and very rare to see. Anything under 15 seconds I would consider fast, under 13 is very fast and 10 or less is just insanity on wheels. He was disappointed to find out I only had a 13 second car (stupid kids, what do they know?).

Besides that if he has a 10 second car then he will have a roll cage in his car and I highly doubt he does

 

What a dip...it is very hard to get to 10s.

i beat a real 10.7 sec car on my bike.so ill turn the boost down to 4 psi or something small like that.ill waist him at 1/2 throttle and then tell him then he will have to shut up

but yeah .. as all the other guys have said its a big ole lie .. or he is confused and thinks he is runin the 1/4 and actually runnin the 1/8th..

tell him i have a few heads cam LS1's that produce 11 sec slips that want a peice for money here in the STL
