Post Wanna get a camaro

Hey everyone, you probably dont know me since I mostly just read posts but my dad has finally agreed to let me sell my jeep wrangler(anyone want it?). So I am pretty sure I want a 93-97 V6 camaro. V6 because I cant afford an 8. I also want the 3.8 but cant afford that either=(. I think I will have around 6000. What are some of the best places to look for a good deal? I live in the bay area by the way. Thanks for any helpers and I hope to have a camaro mighty soon!

Ha! good luck dude, I was just like you until tonight, I wanted to get the v6 cuz i couldnt afford the 8, I am probably the same age as you or close. The thing that made me turn away was the insurance. I called them tonight it it was bad, very bad. SO, i dont know if you have a quote on the insurance but good luck! If you do tell me how much it is.

k thanks

Just try around the local Chevrolet dealerships...though I doubt you'd be able to find anything around $6,000. You could always use that toward a down-payment.

I went out this weekend with my sister to look at used cars (she ended up with a SC2000) and I couldn't believe how much used cars are...you'd think they would lose some value.

I would just look in the new's paper and look at www.ebay.com, o found my camaro in the news paper. Rather then the car lot's because they charge such a high price and you don't no what the car has been though. If you get it from a local person you can talk to the and find all about it.

Thanks for the replys. Ive been looking at Autotrader.com and 94s and 95s arent out of my price range. I figure insurane will be around 800-1000 every six months. What was your quote?

They're out there, just have to find one. I'd recommend going for the 3.8 if the opportunity arises. Chect out www.ebaymotors.com, alot of v-6's go really cheap there.

Thanks everyone. 7000 is out of my range though. Yea I have found a few 96's for less than 6,that is probably what I will aim for,but I gotta sell my car first...
