Re: v6 horse numbers

lol. yea well. the "bottle" is a interim fix

anyway. i just love that my aluminum head 3.4 RWD Camaro has as much hp and 20 more tq than a 3.8 :-D and the pieces i put on the car are modified in no way still cast and imperfect like they came from the factory.. o wait..i dont have that stuff anymore, i have the 3400 stuff..thats right heheh..

everyone always scoffs at that fact. course im sure that my MAC torque arm and SPEC Stage 3 clutch help lay some power down

Oh, dude, I totally thought you were talking about me haha. On the other board I frequent, my nickname is NOS. So when I saw that, I was like, "Why bash me!" haha

Re: v6 horse numbers

hopefully what you put down on the track when you use nos is smoke and burnt rubber and not parts of your motor.

Re: v6 horse numbers

actually, the T5. the stock T5 found in the 1993-1995 3.4L F-Body is only rated at 230lb ft of torque according to Tremecs Website.

I pulled this info from Tremecs Website (Borg Warner stopped making the T5 and tremec bought the design for those of you that are going to say -- but wait, my tranny is a BW... your tranny is a BW..and the replacement now would be a Tremec)

here are the specs:

Part Number 1352-000-247
Weight 75/34.0 (lbs/kg)
Torque Cap. 175-230/ 237-312 (lbs-ft/N-m)
GVW/GCW 5,500/2,495 (lbs/kg)

Gear Ratio Chart
1st 3.75
2nd 2.19
3rd 1.41
4th 1.00
5th 0.72
6th N/A
Rev 3.53

Re: v6 horse numbers

Wife's 2001 V6 M5 car put down 172 RWHP with a whisper lid, K&N filter, CAI (in front of radiator), 3" Flowmaster muffler (all other exhaust stock).

I've got a set of CIA headers I'm going to get recoated and installed and we'll see what we get from there.

Re: v6 horse numbers

yanno what really sucks. (i noticed in your sig you have the DIS-4) i could never get my DIS 4 working. it stutters and crap. when i went to PAW to try exchanging it, they actually let me hook it up to my car (i just plugged in the box), it did the same exact thing. i get a stutter at like 4500 rpm, and when i adjust the rev limit settings, the stutter comes down to like 2600 rpm. so... drop me a line via email maybe you could tell me how you have yours setup so i could get this damn thing working so its not just a pretty red box in my engine bay.

thanks.
