if i'm driving at like 80 km and drop my auto trans in to 2nd to slow the car down will that hurt the tranny

 

its alot cheaper to repair brakes than it is the trans. I doubt it will hurt it bad unless you drop it and it redlines but i wouldnt recommend it. From what ive heard thats how you break the springs out of the clutch plate on manual cars.
