V6 3.4l N20

Is it possible to hook up Nitrous Oxide to the 3.4 V6? I don't know if the motor would take it..but as my other thread (yes, I only have 2 so far, but a head full of questions ;-)) states, I will be replacing the motor with an LT1. Could I hook the N20 up to the 3.4 then the LT1? I saw that the Moroso intakes fit the 3.4 and LT1, so I was thinking a dry kit would switch over to both....is this a fact? Anybody do it? How big of a shot? How fast in the 1320? Thanks.

I will be replacing the driveshaft and rear end with LS1 pieces before I do this, by the way.

Yep people have done it...

Tiago seems to be one of the more knowledgeable on N20 and 3.4Ls that is still around.

if you are running a wet or a dry shot into the intake elbow or a CAI then you will be able to use the same system.

the general thoughts on N2O for a 3.4L with stock pistons is not to go much over 50 if any. the stock pistons dont like juice at all

people are running 75 shots on the 3.4 just fine. i think the max it can take is 100. i heard someone (unverified) ran a 120 shot on his 3.4 and it cracked a few pistons and even the crank! but again this is unverified.

tiago had a 75 shot. i know someone else that ran their 3.4 local to where i am on a 75 shot. Nitrous Oxide Systems (A Holley Company) - NOS(tm) - sells 75 shot systems, the 5175 in fact is listed as the only system for the 3.4L V6.

but yes, good advice is to ask Tiago. he actually ran a system on his car once. one bit of advice i will give tho, is safety!. if you are gonna run a n20 kit, get a window switch and wot switch and make sure that the window switch is set to work above 3000 rpm and under 6000 rpm (that way you wont kill your engine).

at least those are the settings id use if i had a nitrous kit.

anyway...yea get with tiago for more info.

i would say if you want a used kit find a NOS (nitrous oxide systems - holly company) 5175 - they will have all the right hardware.

as for a window switch, those are like 80.00 NEW. and the "pills" (the little chips that tell it what rpm to activate and deactivate at) are like 20.00 for 3-4. the best place ive found for used stuff is ebaymotors.com - altho ive heard that these boards (in the for sale area) can be good too.. if its a good kit (used) it'll have all the necessary stuff. window switch, wot switch, activation switch, kit, bottle, lines, wiring, solenoid(s), etc etc.
