Question Two Exaust Pipes?

I've notice all the V6 Camaros 1998 and Up all have just one exhaust pipe. I have two exhaust pipes; is there something special about my Car or what?

Edit: I have 1999 V6 3800

Check the inside of your drivers door. In the door jam there is going to be a list of RPOs if one of them is Y87 then it came that way from the factory. If it doesn't say Y87, a previous owner installed it. Also, if it does have the Y87 option your steering ratio is the same as a Z28s.

Also if you have a Y87 car you have LSD, and 3.42 gears... its a performance package... kinda like an SS but for v6s

Interesting, does the Y87 have any HP difference from the regular V6? and I've seen 98+ V6 Firebirds with dual exhaust, did they have a performance package simular to the V6 Camaro's?

Is a steering ratio simular to the Z28's good for V6's or bad?... I drove my dad's Z and as far as steering goes, it feels like a truck.

Give us a shout Vaga if you got the Y87 package.

Yup! It says Y87. Now does my car have more HP then a standard V6 Camaro?

No...but that doesn't mean other Camaro owners wouldn't like to have your car!

No, but the better gears it has will give it a edge.

As for the Z28 steering ratio, that means you don't have to turn the steering wheel as much as a normal V6 Camaro to turn.

oh yes here it is:

"An optional Performance Handling Package puts dual exhaust, tighter steering and a limited-slip differential on the V6 Camaro."
