tranny flush...

when my uncle and I put my shift kit in my 4l60e....we also installed a drain plug in my transmission pan....and what i'm wondering....is it worth spending the money on a transmission flush or could i just drain it and fill it up with new fluid and replace the filter?? or do they actually force fluid down in there to get all the crap out and then put new fluid in?

wouldn't mind saving some cash...but if they do more than just get the old fluid out and put new in....i'll do it

thanks for any info...

Yeah, the flush forces tranny fluid thru and in the process, is supposed to remove all the sludge and junk that is in the tranny. It has been noted though that it can be a risky procedure for trannies that are higher mileage and have never had the fluid routinely serviced.
