Track results for friends 3.8 V6

I have been working on my friends 01 firebird. It is the same one that I posted about the detonation issue. we have things working great with just some minor bugs. I went with him to the 1/4 mile in baton rouge the other night.

01 bird 3.8
5 Speed
Whisper lid
K&N
flowmaster (on the car when be bought it)

weather was bad. very very hot and humid. But still some good runs. I have been working on a project that I designed for the 3.8L fbody cars. It's simple and has given us an agverage gain of .4 in the 1/4. With the mod list above and this mod with very hot weather he ran a time of

15.01 @91.87 with a 60" of 2.1

His clutch is slipping so we lost a bit there but if not for that and the weather we would have shattered 14's. I think that is damn good for 200 bucks worth on mods, open diff and street tires.

We plan to get back to the track soon with a few more things so we can break 14's. he did pull a few newer GT's through the 1/8

I also found out just today that his left front brakes were locking up due to a frozen slider. This was hindering our times even more.

it kinda makes me mad that we never knew that there was a brake problem untill the day after we got back from the track. If not for that it could have goten us that .002 that we needed for 14's. We will still hit it next time tho. About another 3 weeks and we can say that we are running 14's with just a K&N, lid and crappy flowmaster

Eric pulled the belt off to gain a 1.0ET drop, maybe HBH is developing a half a belt for his .4?

I wish I gained 1.0 ET drop I lost more like .3-.4 on average and gained ~1-1.5 mph.

my best with the belt on was 14.7, my best paperfilter factory I coudl get warranty work done stock was 15.2

How about this, will this mod make my car run faster then its 14.4, I had unhooked intake, exhaust and removed drivebelt.
