Unhappy took car back to track

Last Thursday I took my car to the track too see what it will run. I when to the track a month before that and got a 16.1@83 with a 60' of 2.262, and the temp was like 86 degrees. Now this time I went to the track with new ties 245/50 a new 3in cat and the temp was at 53 degrees and I ran 15.790@84.95 and 60's were 2.282 with R/T at .801. The mods I have are ram air hood, whisper lid, 3in cat back exhuast with flowmaster 80 series muffler, and a transgo shift kit. I raced a stock 2000 3.8 v6 mustang M5 and barly beat him. Does anyone know what could be wrong with my car, from what I have seen with people with similar mods I should be doing a lot better. the oil, plugs and wire are new. If any can help that would be great.

hope you can understand that up there.

Some simple questions for you? Are you letting your car cool off? Did you remove anything not needed before you went out to the track? Did you raise the front tires psi to max? Did you play with your rear tires psi for a better bite? What type of gas did you run before vs now?

Being that you are running 3/10's and 2 MPH faster in weather that is 30 deg cooler, I would be concerned. Your old combo would have probably ran what your new combo runs?

Temp was at 180 or so, I took the spare and jack out, all the tires were at 32 psi and I was running with 87 Octane.

What transmission do you have? If it's a manual, then you should focus on shifting better.

When the 4l60E first came out in the C4 a while back, some magazine did a test on it. They always got the best acceleration times with it in OD.
