For those of you who've done LSX Swaps...

I wanted to make a thread for some comparisons and a few questions

#1 - Did you swap with an A4 or M6?
#2 - How long ago did you do it?
#3 - How reliable is your car at this point? / How is it holding up?
#4 - The most difficult part of the swap?
#5 - What kind of problems did you incur during the swap?
#6 - Most Importantly - How much did the swap cost for you total?

my car was a M5 now its A4, going to M6 would require new pedal assembly + hydraulics I believe.

Did it back in 2006.

Just as reliable as before.

Most difficult part is the wiring.

no problems.

Cost ~$4k in parts. Heads/cam/intake LS1 with LT's 4" catback and custom CAI.

the swap can be as reliable as you make it. use the best parts you can afford, take your time don't try to take any shortcuts. my Fiero with a swapped motor and trans is my every day car. the most reliable thing is every other job on the car will seem small.
