Hey I'm in Dallas, but I've done two different conversions, and my car is one of them. Check my sig and Pm me if you want. I'll need your car for three sunny days, but I'll make it almost leak-proof (almost every car with t-tops leaks under a high pressure wash). I work at a car wash, so I can test it out until everything fits. Let me know if you want some help!

For the other person I did (who is not on this board), I charged her $300 for all the labor, I provided the tools (minus dremel bits), but she had to provide all the parts. I can give you a list of all the parts you need, but I just don't have the time to call all the junkyards/search the boards to get all the parts. I need three sunshine days to do this, most of it is to make sure it doesn't leak.
If you want to see mine up close, let me know. I'm in Denton, just 30 min North of Dallas, but my website has most of my pics. I just recently painted the top part, so now it all matches the rest of the car, not a metal look. Let me know what you guys think about this, I can do it over almost any weekend. Even if it is going to rain, I can still work on it, so just let me know.

Jeremy, let me finish saving up and I'll give you a ring. I won't mind you havin my car for a weekend, my friend has an apartment up there and I can just stay with him. It may take me a while to save up though (Just spent some money for a 1980 Camaro) I've got some saved for the T-Tops kit though. Once I get it all saved, I'll give you a call.
That's cool, you shouldn't have to pay more than $350 for all the parts, minus the headliner. There are people on here all the time with the conversion kit, and I will post EVERYTHING that you need in the morning or evening tomorrow. Let me know when you're ready!!
2 – T-Tops
2 – A pillars (2 screws each)
2 – Rear corner pieces (2 screws each)
2 – Pieces of weather-stripping
1 – T-bar that sits on roof (8 screws)
2 – Holders for tops in trunk (2 screws each)
4 – Brackets to lock t-tops on roof (1 nut/bolt each)
1 – Headliner for t-top cars
2 – T-top shades (optional, I use them in the summer)
1 – Key to the locks on the t-tops
1 – Windshield weather-stripping (optional—I can’t put this on)
1 – Small can of paint to match your car (optional again)
The last two things can be done at a later date, by your or a professional. I can paint the roof of your car, but it won’t be perfect, it will be foam brushed on. Also, the windshield needs to be lifted to put the weather-stripping on. That has to be done at a shop, but I haven’t even done it on mine yet, and I don’t have any leaks.
It takes about 8 hours to do all the “damage” and then a day or two to fine tune everything. Like I said, I work at a car wash, so I will be able to adjust everything until it fits right. If I am going to do your car, I need three days to work on it. Also note – there are two different kinds of t-tops: the dot matrix style (93-95 I think) and then the smoked glass (cleaner look; like real tint). I think the later kind looks better, but all t-tops will fit the same.
I’m in Denton, but can do this in College Station on SPECIAL request, my parents live down there. Anything else, just ask me. Post up or email.

Dang man, that was a mouth full
. I wouldn't want you to have to come down to College station, I live in Temple (30 miles south of Waco) and I don't mind the trip. It may take me a little while to scrape up the money (Barely make $300 / month at my job
) But it's the life of a poor college kid, lol. I'll get ahold of you though.

WELL YEAH
Alright well Yeah Red Blur I want you to do this work for me that sounds like a fair price to me. I need about 3-4 weeks to find all the parts and get the money to pay for it. It would be great if you could do the work in college station. I am orginally from there and have my dad and other friends there as if i did it in dallas I would have to drive all the way there ect ect ect as if it was in college station i could stay at my dads or whatever. Do you know where I can buy a T-Top Kit that has everything you need or do I have to find these items individually? thanks

If you look around, you can usually find a full conversion kit for sale around $300-350. This normally does not include the headliner. If you don't see anything on here, even after posting a request for it, then call some junkyards. You might be able to pull everything yourself for cheaper.
I don't know how much shipping on that would be, I picked mine up locally. I'll keep my eyes out, and email both of you if I see anything. You can also check the other boards, which will remain anonymous.
Let me know what you find also, and I'll try to let you know if it is a good deal or not.

Where in OK? I'm in Denton, just 40 minutes from the wouth border of OK. Let me know if you are inerested in driving down here....I don't know of too many body shops even in Dallas/Fort Worth that would tackle this. And it would cost an @$$-load of money. If you want to drive down here though....I could do it on a weekend.

i'm in Shawnee which is also dead center OK like 45 mins from Chandler and was also wanting the basic instructions of how you did it. like what tools did you use? Where exactly do you cut the roof? and is that lip held down to prevent water from getting between the roof and the roof frame? Do you cut the roof on the front of the half inch space down the middle or does it matter? and then the steps from there. if you have time to list the instructions i would greatly appricate it.
