supercharger on 3.8L?

supercharger on 3.8L?

has anyone succesfully put a GM supercharger (GTP) on a 3.8L f-body??? before i try it i want to know if its possible.

From what I've heard, since the gtp is fwd and the f-body is rwd, everything points the wrong way to do a worth while conversion.

i wondered the same thing. But like jm8881 said, the GTP is front wheel drive, so the motor is in sideways. VS your firebird the moto is in like normal. I'm sure it can be done. I think the other superchargers (paxton or vortec) would be easier than the roots type like the GTP and my Lightning have. I looked into it a little also. sure it can be done its really easy too

all you have to do is notch the windshiled so it will fit and custom fabricate a few other parts

There was actually a company that did that done forgot the name but it was on a firebird, it was in GM High-Tec alot of custom fab work, and they did not notch the windshield.
