Strange brakelight prob, help!

Hey guys, my brake light has been on for a few weeks now, i checked my 3rd brake light bulbs and they fine, also the car seems to brake fine as well, the only noticable problem is that when the brake light came on, the brake pedal is now noticably spongier. I had the brakes done a year ago with new rotors, pads, lines everything, so i dont know what the problem is, any ideas?

Your talking about the brake waring light on the dash right? If so it could be any number of problems, usually to do with the anti lock brakes. Could be the module or the wheel sensors or other things... they can be a little touch at times... I had it happen on my truck, It ended up being the module just above the brake pedal... it was adjusted right so I just replaced it, come to find out that GM had a recall on that part and was replaced again.... even though the auto zone part was good. Oh yeah it will also go on if you have a pressure difference between brake lines... could be a sign of the proportional valve going. Most likely its the anti lock brakes though
