If you can get it cheap, get it.

If you don't like the sound of it, you can always change it and still come out OK because you can keep the I-pipe.

I've only heard one take-off and it was on a guy's car that didn't have an intake or any other mods, just the take-off. At startup and idle, it sounds just a tad deeper than stock. Thats about all I can say about it...revving sounded just like stock except more raspy and it had a terrible chainsaw sound. Then again, so did stock.

So if you can get it...get it for the I-pipe. If you like the sound of the muffler too...even better. Good luck!

Stay away from the SS take off. Its quiet on SS cars. I got the Ws6 take off and sounds pretty good. The other day a guy in a 2001 SS was pissed off that my exhaust was louer than his. For the 3.8 get either a trans-am take off, WS6 take off or a Z-28 take off. You'll much happier with the sound.
