Someone please help a friend w/98 V6 motor prob

OK I'm lost when it comes to V6's so I thought I would try to help her and get some good advice from the V6 experts. I apreciate it guys!!

I am lost. The motor is idoling at 2000-3000 RPM's and I can't get it down to the normal 1000 RPMs. I have had it tuned up, changed the EGR valve, and put on a new Throttle Position Sensor. The computer on my car said there was an EGR Flow issue, (before I did anything to it) but the new valve didn't fix it. I don't know what else could possibly be the problem!

Any advice for me? Anyone ever have this problem before?

For some info on the car, its a 98 Camaro, V6 3800 engine, standard 5 speed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ANy cracks or such in the EGR piping and what not?

Maybe outside air getting in causing the EGR valve to read exhaust wrong throw a code and an intake leak all in one?
