SLP takeoff Z28 shocks.

Has anyone done this. I need new shocks and was wondering the ride. I know they are Z28 shocks which I believe are stiffer than our v6's.

I have them on mine.

The ride is fine....just a bit better than stock.

But I also have a '99 takeoff springs, with 1LE sway-bars.

they are very close to the same as on teh v6's. I'd only put those take off shocks on if you wanted to freshen up your stock suspension. I'd bet most of the improved feel is more from putting fresh shocks on then them being more stifly valved.

Most V-6 had way softer springs and shocks, the Z28/Formula/Trans AM shocks are a bit harder than stock V-6 ones unless it has Y87

agreed for the most part...they are a small upgrade....but for $50 a set you can't beat them!

You are right Blue 95. For $50 a set and $25 for shipping you really cant beat them. I dont really care about the "performance" aspect of the stock shock, I just dont want to feel every little bump and dip in the freeway like I can now.
Would the takeoffs be OK with my Eibachs?

If your going to put new shocks on might as well get really stiff ones that way you can go through turns fast, this way your not limited to driving fast only on straight aways, good times.

Eibachs will eat the take-offs...I wouldn't use them together.

i have take offs with my eibach pros and the ride is not all that bad, highly recommend subframe connectors if your car is lowered.
