slight hesistation under initial load, pls help :)

is this just a regular plug/wire problem, as my plugs/ wires (7.5mm ac delco wires) are only 5000km old
but, sometimes when i give my baby some gas, just a little bit, it really doesn't wanna go, and then it starts to go, it kinda hesistates for a split second, is what i'm tryin' to say,

there are no SES lights, just my little mind worrying, and wondering...

i'm gonna get some 8mm taylor spiro pro wires and NRK platinum plugs next week, so hopefully this'll help...

also, i recently checked the primary and secondary resistances on all 3 coils, and they were all fine, all in the proper resistance range,

i also have a homemade CAI with the AIR pump hose disconnected, but this is purely an emissions thing, so i don't think its that

hopefully someone knows what the trouble is

thanks
ian

Well check the wires, to see if they have hardened. Also my car hesitated a bit, and I put in some fuel injector cleaner, and it seemed to run better.

straight from the haynes manual (and otherwise tech knowhow), check your hoses and such, check your plugs and wires for sure make sure they're all sparking and the plugs are seated firmly, using some fuel injector cleaner and making sure that you use good fuel is good all-around preventitve mainatence. You could reset the ECU and see if anything happens then sometimes this helps. Is it an auto or manual? It could possibly be the start to a clutch problem but probably not.

i've checked the plugs and wires, they seem ok...

its a manual, the clutch is slipping sometimes, and i need a new one (i already new this), but it doesn't seem like a clutch problem... resetting the pcm doesn't help, or if it does, not for long,

i'm gonna also replace the O2 sensors very soon, but i just cant think what it could be, i'm handy enough with the engine, as i say i've taken apart the ignition system, and its all fine, so i dont know what it could be???

it sounds like the clutch to me. it sounds just like what i was complaining about b4 i switched the clutch out wed. feels great now, i didnt realize how much power i had lost with that slipping clutch. but it at first was just under heavy loads, then it would happen under the initial load as well b4 i changed it. not an expensive fix, tho, i just finished switching out mine.
