ses light
I have heard that under deceleration, emissions can go higher, and sometimes blow-by occurrs. This would get your O2 sensors to read incorrect. That may be the phenominon you are experiencing.
My gut says EGR. My car would set off the SES on the freeway when I would take my foot off the pedal.
With that said, don't base it just on that. Remove all doubt and get it scanned, best place being AutoZone since they do it for free.
Hope it ISN'T the EGR...they aren't cheap.

I know a guy with the same screename on another board and he is from Davis, California...
Either way its a common problme with 3.4Ls and the egr... comes up under decelerationg. Problem is some people have changed the EGR and and fixed it while for some they still had the problem...
not sure my 3.4L never had a problem with it...
