Question Service Engine Light Question?

OK, I put in a cheap intake chip recently into the air intake sensor. But to keep it in i had to unhook it from the socket. And i drove around without it plugged in. Then after a couple of days the service engine soon light came on. I looked under the hood and saw that it fell out of the sensor. SO i plugged the sensor back in. ANYWAYS.... I was just wonderin that will the light come off now that i did that or do i have to do somethin special to get it to come off.

Assuming that the SES was caused by the sensor being unplugged, it should turn off after a couple miles/starts if it hasn't already.

I don't know if AutoZone has just the scanner or if they can clear it as well...

Check out www.installuniversity.com, and click on install mods, they will show you how to make that sensor for about 25 cents, plus how to clear your code problem. They have great instructions for it and how to seal it up so it won't fall out. Those chips are good for the money, even if it is like 1 hp or something, you can feel the difference. l8tr
