I was jsut wondering if anyone knows if there is a Security System recall for 96 or 97 camaros. A friend from work and I own 97 and 96 camaros, respectively. Both of ours have started to have security system problems as of late. Mine started about 2 or 3 weeks ago, the security light would come on on my gauges, and the red LED light would turn on on the center console, while I was driving. Sometimes the car wouldn't start and it would show the same symptoms. After a while though, it goes away and I'll be able to start it. I've tried it a couple of times when I've been driving, I put the car in neutral, turned it off and tried to restart it and it wouldn't, but it usually does.

Anyone know what the problem could be? We have both gotten locked out of our cars on several occasions and resorted to using the keys to get in, but the key won't start the ignition. We've both replaced the batteries in the remotes, to no avail. Thanks for all the help!
