My security light has been coming on for no apparent reason while ive been driving over the past few days. The only reason I have ever seen it come on before was when the hatch was open at the same time the car was running. Any reasons why the light might come on while im driving?

 

mine use to do it all the time...the light would never go off...so i used my spare key 1 day and it solved all my problems...ur key has a chip in it right?

 

Yep, try a spare key or cleaning the resistor pelet on the one you have first.

 

so this is likely just an issue with the key or the connection the key is supposed to make? I dont have a spare with the chip, but i do need to get one made anyway. ill try it out and see if anything changes. thanks.
