Re: runnin hot on my 3.4

Shouldn't be a problem on the freeway, but fan switch? Dumb question, but is your coolant low? Any debris in front of the radiator? Could have gotten bad luck on the thermo... Of course mine runs hot all the time, if I stop for more than 30 secs it goes up from 180 to about 210. Only time it really stays put is when I am cruising at speed at night when it is cooler. 3.4s are notorious for overheating.

A few of my friends have them, they had problems with them overheating. Mine likes to run hot. I've read people complaining about it here and camarov6.com alot as well.

Re: runnin hot on my 3.4

My 3.4 used to overheat all the time as well. But now she runs nice and cool. I just bought a 160 degree thermo and also bought a manual fan switch. The new thermo keeps it really cool 99% of the time, I only have to use the manual fan switch if I've been sitting in traffic for like 20 min. So if you have an extra $100 laying around.....i would suggest going out and buying those two items, cause it sure worked for my car.
