rebuild/more power question

my 3.4 has 145000 miles, im about to rebuild it with new rings oil pump bearings, etc, well i have noiced that even when i bought the car with 130,000 miles my power has dropped considerably, im going to ad a lunati-3000 cam (specs are on ammperformance.com), pacesetter headers, new coil packs (strting to miss) compcams valvetrain package, any ideas on difernt parts to get for more power and an estimate on rear wheel horsepoer after these mods would really help, thx

Well first don't waste you money on the over priced valve package. You can get Kmotion K-700 valve springs from summit for $43 and be good for .480 lift.
Regrind, and lap you valves for more low end power.
Port and polish you heads and intake you will get more power all through the rpm range.
Get some nice after market coil packs.
Get an MSD ignition, I'm not sure what they make for you car but I know it will help a lot.

You will need P&P with that cam that is a must. One won't help that much with out the other.
If that cam is what I think it is with a good P&P job you would see on less than 20+ hp over stock.
To have some one P&P them for you would be $200 to $600 depending who does them and how good they are.
You can get some full roller rockers and get a nother 15 ft.lb. through out the entire RPM range, they will give you better gas milage over stocks ones and faster throttle response.
"Through out the entire rpm range" is way better than 15 more hp, at 5250rpm 1 ft.lb.=1hp so any torque you can make over 5250 rpms is real good.
If you didnt have a 95 I would say get a mechanical cam, there mean and sound bad @$$ like a V8 all most.
How much can you do on your own?
Like for me I could make $1500 go a long, long ways because I do all my own work and very light machining and get a lot of stuff off ebay slightly used or new for far cheaper then retail, $1500 is about what it will cost me to get my TT's in my V6 and runing.
How many Thousands do you think it would cost me if I had NO skills what so ever, some one does all the work for me and used new retail? ( I think 6-7K)
Compaired to some one that goes to and buys from an over priced speed shop and has them do all the work too, for that person $1500 woulndn't do ****.

thx
