Question Rear End HELP

I know a guy who will sell me a rear end off of his 2000 TA with 3:42 gears. They have about 16k on them and came out of a manual, and does not have TCS or 2nd gear start.
Now my question is...Can I put this rear end on my 98 firebird?? I have a automatic with 3:08's, and I have 2nd gear start. What will I have to do to hook up the 2nd gear start? and will his manual bolt straight up to my automatic? If there is anything else I need to know please let me know. Thanks guys!!

I think second gear start is a transmission thing.

I am not 100% sure, but it would make no sense for it to be anywhere else but transmission related.

but i do know his rear axle will bolt on perfectly fine. I bolted on a 97 WS6 trans am rear axle on my 94, its plug and play

rear axle will bolt up fine...all you need is a longer brake cable(should be around $20). Good luck! I gotta find one near me!
