I got a 96 RS. Does any1 know what gears i have in?

 

if auto 3.08 unless u have y87 then it's 3.42's, if manual then u have 3.23

 

i have a manual so having 3.23 in there does that mean that i have limited slip or...? i got no clue on anythin with rear ends

 

You most likely have an open diff.
PRO code Y80 or some thing "80" is the LSD code.

alright so i was all thinkin that i had a 1 wheel peel....so i was outside of work and i was talkin with my buddy....he takes off side ways so i rev it up and pop the clutch....i went back to work the next day and i left two strips....i was confused cuz every1 has told me i couldnt

 

its possible to spin both tires with an open diffy... are your tires getting bald? or was it on asphalt? i used to spin both tires all the time when it was wet out and i had the open diff..

if you want to know for sure, jack the rearend up and spin one of the wheels , if the other wheel turns the same direction then it has an LSD.. if it turns the other way then you have an open diff

 

i did it on dry pavement...and ive had he tires for about 10,000 miles so they arnt in that bad shape
