Question RAT Stage 2 TB/MAF

I just read an article in the October '02 issue of GM High Tech where they tested the Ram Air Tech. Stage 2 TB/MAF. They write that the upgrade increased HP and Torque throughout the RPM range. The they stated "The combination of boring and Extrude Hone porting increased airflow of the 65mm TB/MAF by 100 cfm!" The also stated that the key to the effectiveness of the TB is the recalibration of the MAF so that it operates effectively with the 3800 V6.

Have any of you heard of this and if so what are the positives vs. negatives?
