What kind of gains can I expect out of ram air

Very little to none. I don't recomend doing it becuase it's not worth getting the filter so dirty so fast for the possibility of a tiny gain.

Is just the whisper lid worth it then? Thats with exhaust. I really dont know what else to put on my car to give it any hp gain, what should I be looking at/doing?

I would get a lid and if you already have exhaust, I would put 3.42s in the rear.
