question about TA exhaust

im getting the stock exhaust off an LT1 TA, and it's gonna be the catback piping w/ it. will this fit up to my cat (V6) or will i need a reducer? also, will it sound any different (better/worse) by having the catback piping too instead of just the muffler. i'll just put the muffler on if that seems like the easier/better way to go, just wanted to get some opinions...thanks.

I'd go with full cat-back, thats what I did with my car when I had the Borla put on. Better sound, more flow.
