question about plug wires

i've read a lot of stuff saying that the plug wires on the 3.8L go out all the time....my car has been cranking a lot before getting started and has had kind of a rough idle to it too....nothing too bad, goes away when you start accelerating. just wondering if this could be bad wires, thanks.

Only way I know for sure wires are bad is if I can see them arching.

Doesn't sound like wires...you can always use better wires than stock ones though.

It COULD be the plugs. It COULD be a lot of things.

How long ago since you last replaced the plugs and wires? If it has been a while, you could always replace them since they would need to be anyways. You might get lucky and solve your problem.

Is your car throwing any codes (SES light coming on)?

i think the plugs and wires were both changed a little less than 30k miles ago, so i'm not sure if it could be those. no, it's not throwing any codes, so who knows.

Is that true about the 3.8's plugs going often?? I changed my plugs and wires and then one year later i had to do them again. I wasn't sure if it was just crappy plugs or if there was something wrong with my car. The mechanic couldn't really give me an answer.
