goal10dr got off the internet how to port the 3.8 tb. So we did it. It was a lot like porting the maf on my LT1. The only difference is he occasional throws a code and his car runs like crap. It does idle under 900 but it just sounds weird... He has a 1996 3.8 in a bird... Any ideas? A mod that was susposed to gain him 10HP has cost him 20 I bet...

 

Would it be possible for him to buy a 70MM TB somewhere or some larger TB?

 

Well the ses light won't go off and it seems like his 3.8 just can't breather or is runin lean.... Anyone???

I don't know what instructions you followed, but you probably screwed up how the MAF reads. You probably cut out half the post. If you did, the MAF won't read right. I would see if you could find a 99+ MAF sensor, cutout the rest of the most and use it.

He called autozone and they told him a 99 and newer does not use a MAF... He said they use a MAP sensor and are speed density...

 

What? That is total BS. You won't be able to buy that sensor from autozone anyway. You'll have to go to a salvage yard or the dealer.
