Doing this for my friend...he has a 98 v6 3800 bird...A4 ,stock gears....Clear Image headers, Taylor wires, Cold air, lid, i-pipe, jet chip, cut-out, t-stat with slp fan switch, flowmaster muffler....what can he do next u think? covertor? what do u think he'll run in the 1/4? he ran a 15.9 stock...let me know...tthanks guys!!

 

I'd guess low to mid 15's

get some gears and a shift kit, that will knock off some time.

 

Tell him to get a 3000 - 3200 stall converter if you can find someplace to make one for the V6 model. I don't know if the different bellhousing for the V6 would allow the LS1 torque converters to work in that application. A torque converter could probably net him a 1/2 second gain in the 1/4.
