Heya folks. I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm still around. The reason for today's post is because I need help.

I am currently sueing RK Sport for breach of contract and breach of implied warranty for suitability of fitness for the purpose intended. That all is legal jargon for they sold me a sub-par set of headers and refused to make good on the purchase. They even went as far as to blame me for their product not working because I used gaskets that THEY provided in the kit. In essece admitting to knowingly selling a faulty product.

Here's where you guys come in. I know many of you on here have had problems...many problems with RK Sports headers. I partially blame myself for not doing enough research before buying them. I need those of you who have had bad experiences both with attemping to fix the headers and in dealing with RK Sport about them to write me a short note describing what happened. If I win this case it will go a long way to helping those of you who have had similar problems getting your money back or at least some sort of compensation. So, help me out and eventually it'll help you out.

By showing that I am not alone and that RK Sport's design is flawed I can prove that they are responsable for their products and must make good on their promise of performance. Please include your Make, Model, Year model, Email address, phone number (if you can) and especially your name so that I can show that there are real people out there with the same problem.

I promise to keep you all updated on this forum as to my progress. Please, don't let these performance companies run the show. They're supposed to be there for people like you and me to depend on. Thanks for your time.

I think everyone here has welded flanges on those POSs. Good luck!

 

Yup, that's exactly what I'm talking about. I went another route and got some custom 3 bolt 1/2 inch flanges made for my collector flanges. Now the damn things are leaking at the heads. I hope some of you welded flange guys tell me your story.

I bought some carbon fiber emblems and other products and they sent me the products, TWICE and then tried to blame me for it. I called and called and emailed them but they wouldn't respond. I finally was so fed up I contacted the Better Business B. and then I suddenly get a call saying this isn't how they do buisness etc... They took back the products but when my headlight covers fell off because of poor design I called them up and John (Sales Manager) told me that the owner of RKSport told him not to refund my money but he said that he would. So I returned them over six months ago and they still refuse to return my money. That means they have me headlight covers AND my money.

Yeah, that was my concern at first, but here's the deal. I spent almost $500 on the headers (the only ones offered at the time. Pacesetter hadn't come up with theirs yet), then an additional $1500 on parts and labor trying to fix them so that they'd work like they were supposed to. So, here I am $2000 later.

The $50 filing fee at this court, $50 service fee to have the secretary of state of CA serve the papers and the free legal advice I'm getting from a friend are WAY worth it.
