Pacesetter Y-pipe rattling

I installed pacesetter shorties in my buddie's 3.4 94 Firebird, however I can't seem to get rid of a rattle, is there a specific method of putting the y-pipe on? It just seems to want to hug the oil pan and I can hear hitting underneath when in Drive or under acceleration

Thanks.

Unless you're certain the headers are vibrating, It may be the exhaust hitting the subframe (as it was probably moved around a bit and sits different w/ headers). Put a couple of washers on both sides of the subframe to lower it, even bend it a little if necessary.

If it is the headers, you should have enough clearance, if they are hitting, you have to loosen everything so you can move it away from the oil pan, hold it, and tighten everything back up. My headers (mids) are very close to my oil pan, but they do not rattle, the rattling I had a problem with was the rest of the exhaust.

Things like this are fairly common with the pace setters from my experience. My Y-Pipe was riding against my tranny, and the only way to fix it was to take a pickle bar and a hammer, and dent it in right there for clearance. Once you figure out where it's rattling, you might just have to cut on it or beat it with a hammer to get it to stop.
