I just got my first camaro last month. it is a 95 3.8.
I have $540, What should I get? NX, SLP CAI, Dyno-Max muffler, Wings-West body kit, wheels, torque converter w/ shift kit, spoiler.
I dunno, you tell me whats better.
BTW, can anyone tell me how many HP an L36 V6 can handle safely?
and where can I find out how to takke off and how to use N2O.
this is a real good website. I can find lotsa good information.
thank ya'll

Unless you feel comfortable with pulling the valve body out of your tranny then you would need to pay for installation of the shift kit also. Would you be able to swap converters on your car or would installation have to be paid for it ? Of course being able to install mod's yourself will save you LOTS of cash. Sorry for the all the questions but it helps to know what you can do on your own. You may pay 500-600$ for a shift kit and T/C but after labor it may run 800-900... know what I mean?
If you're unable to do any of the major mod's yourself it wouldn't hurt to start out with all of the bolt on's. You can do the CAI easily... U/D pullies, catback exhaust, upgraded wires/plugs. Maybe down the road pick up a set of headers?
BTW... if you plan on running a T/C and a shift kit I'd recommend picking up a tranny cooler to run also. The trans will be making some extreme heat and the cooler should help extend the life of it. Its not REQUIRED of course but it always helps to have some added insurance.
p.s If I'm not mistaken another board member had his T/C for sale not too long ago? I'd check the F/S section for the post to his e-bay auction.

Eagle has wheels for under $500.....look on ebay as well
I would go with a muffler and TC.....best bangs for your buck on a auto. But if you do get a exhaust you would do really well if you could complement it with the CAI...food for thought

less $$$
I used some money to pay for some other stuff.
now I only have $280, I expect to paint a house soon (and get paid( thats what I do for a living)), so I will have some more money again, if I get I will probably buy that NX kit from ebay.com for $469.00. if I dont; I will go with the SLP CAI. anyway. every opinion is appreciated. thank yuo all.
