I have a 1998 camaro v6 that I want to upgrade. What would you suggest for beginning performance parts? Thanks for your help.

 

Start with a cold air intake and a cat-back exhaust. They are easy to install and are a great first upgrade. Most any brand will give the same performance, so look for the best deals. You can expect maybe 15hp at the wheels from these mods.

 

Most people with 98+ F-bodies get a lid instead of a CAI. I am not sure how they stack up against each other but the lid costs almost half as much.Link to different intakes for 4th gen V6s.

Rksport sells a powerdyne kit for the 3.8 cars. Sometimes you can find one used too.

 

supercharger is hardly a beginning mod. Id do a lot of other supporting mods before i did that.
