i have my car listed for sale in my local newspaper classifieds, has anyone used any other service (like autotrader or an online site) that had worked well. im not in a big hurry to sell, i just want to know the most effective way of doing this

Price all depends on location, around here you could probably get a similar car, milage etc, or around 8,000.

yes sir, the LS1 swap is complete. total price including installation was about $4,400. when you subtract all the V6 parts that i sold which was about $2,000, that made my swap $2,200. granted, i had a lot of V6 mods to sell.
this goes into a little more detail.

did you swap the motor yourself? if not where did you find a place that would even consider it??thats my big problem with the conversion

camaros_4_life: do you know a shop around here that would take on that kind of a project?

1fastV6 - I enjoyed checking out that thread and checking out http://www.tacreationsusa.com/

They do seem like they have some good deals with engines if you really search.

Damn I'd love to shove an LT1 or maybe even an LS1 - damn if you could make it fit - under my hood. IF I ever did a swap like this I'd still keep my car an automatic I think and would have a shop put in the engine professionally.

Sorry about getting a little off topic there, but also joey, just advertise as much as you can. You will end up finding someone out there who is searching for a car just like yours.

Try the papers and any Want Ad's around your area first, if after some time you don't get a lot of bites I'd try to expand outward...AutoTrader and www.buyanad.com both seem like good places.

Good luck with the sale.

Wow!!! If that is the going price in your area, then good luck. You'll be hard pressed to get even 8-9K out of something like that here in TX...

When ever I have had a car for sale, I have found the local newspaper to be the best option. Then AutoTrader.

Put a Run Till Sold ad on AutoTrader and renew it every two weeks and you are all set until you actually get rid of the car.

I have also listed the last two cars I've sold on a couple of internet sites, but never had even one single contact from them. They haven't worked for me, maybe they will for you...

Good luck in selling it!

I've never sold a car on Autotrader.com BUT I bought my car, and my dad bought his car on the website-so I think that speaks for itself.

Also (I didn't see this, if it was already mentioned) but look at what similiar vehicles with similiar miles are selling in your area.

Napa and kelley blue book also, although they vary in price.
