Need help

Well one of my sidemarkers (the little sqaure lights in the rear quarter panel) are out so i need to replace the bulb and wanted to know where could i get one and what size, brand, wattage, part # etc... do i need to get. Also do you just unscrew the cover and change the bulb or is there another way? Please let me know thanks.

If nobody knows you can just look at the existing bulb and on the glass part it should say what bulb you need.

The bulb is a 194. I recommend spending less than $1 more and get the 194LL (long life).

Really easy to replace...one torx bit. Remove the bit, the sidemarker comes out loose. Simple 1/4 turn and the connector comes out of the sidemarker, pull out burned bulb, install new one and put everything back the way you took it out.

If you don't have the owners manual, use autooptiks.com to look up bulb #s. Just don't buy anything from them...

ImportKILLER-
I have noticed you know quite a bit about car lighting. Are the lights in the turn signals, headlights, etc. the type that you aren't supposed to touch with your hands because of the grease on your hands?

The headlamps definitely. You don't want to touch the bulb. With those I'll use gloves or if I don't have gloves, avoid touching the glass and just handle the base. If you do touch it, wipe it with some alcohol.

The other bulbs...eh, I'm not sure if you are supposed to touch them or not. Probably best not to touch them but I don't take the time for gloves with those ones since they're easy enough to replace and are only a few bucks.
