need help: 1992 V6 3.1 camaro
I just got a 92 camaro v6 3.1 w/ auto trans 150,000 miles. the engine seems to be very lazy with little throttle response or general power. i relize this is a very small engine and is not going to be an extremley fast motor but i know i should be getting more out of it than i am currently gettting. the car is new, havent had a chance to look it over good just loooking for some tips on what i should look at and/or what i can do to get more cost effective performance out of it. also if anybody knows anything about these motors and can tell me how reliable they are and how much you can do performance wise before having to worry about having any complications with it.
any suggestions appreciated.

Start with the basics, a tune up. Plugs, plug wires(good ones, not the cheapest thing walmart has), air filter(K&N). I would replace the fuel filter. It's cheap and you have no idea when it was last replaced.
Your not going to get cost effective performance out of the 3.1. If you throw alot of parts and money at it AND a turbo THEN you can get decent performance out of it.
Even the 305 TBI V8's are not known for being fast.
