I have the stock exhaust on my 1995 V6 firebird and everytime i let aff the accelerator from 3000 rpm and up. It sound like tin can banging together until the rpm reaches 0. I am putting flowmaster cat back on, not to get rid of the sound, but because i want to. Will this help, or is the sound further up like in the cat? Please help!

 

I bet its the Cat......bang on it with a rubber mallet, and then start your car. if the sound gets worse, its the cat....replace it with a high flow one and you should be good to go

 

Cool, thanks i'll try that , but if this is the problem where can i find a high flow cat for a reasonable amount of money?
