Look into Sylvania Silverstars....

More expensive than the stockers, but they are a huge improvement in lighting.

Half true. They are more expensive but are not much of an improvement.

Take a look.

To the poster, if you plan on keeping the blackouts, expect poor lighting. No matter what you put in, the blackouts will block most of your light output.

For the money, Luks are the best. Cheaper than stock and more wattage. (Colored, fake "HID" bulbs also put out more watts but have a blue tint which reduces output to achieve the color).

Never seen/heard of Luks, but they do look pretty good.

I've used Silverstars and seen HUGE differences from stock though, not sure why you didn't....

Re: need brighter lights!!!!

In my opinion, it is the housings. The 93-97 housings simple do not do a good job of projecting the light. Too small...

The Silverstars put out the same wattage as stock but have that purple tint to them to achieve the white look. But the tint that filters out the yellow color also reduces output. If you want a cleaner looking light, Silverstars are OK. A little overpriced, but OK.

The 93-97 housings simply need as much wattage as possible.

Maybe the housings make the difference, most of the experience that I have had with silverstars has been with sealed beam bulbs (3rd gens, g bodies).

Re: need brighter lights!!!!

i'd say forget the headlights, if you're going with blackouts, headlights are gonna be bad no matter what...

get some foglights, i have Hella ff75's, $40 off ebay, in my foglight positions, they make a HUGE difference in lighting...

$40 and 30 mins install = much better lighting
