My sound system cracked my dash!!!

OMG!!!

I saw what looked like a girl's hair on the dashboard and went to wipe it off but as I did I pushed down one side and I was in shock!

I didn't see this hugh crack earlier so I dunno how that happened....I'm blamming my subs!

Y ME! I don't wanna buy a new dash but this is beyond repair.

How much is a new dash?

I've heard they are $175 from the dealer.

Dang!

Well I went down to my mechanic and showed him. He said that I could get a new one for like $40 + and that the old plastic thing would just pop out. I find it hard to see how its so cheap? The crack is from close to the window to the steering wheel console thing. So I need that big plastic dash piece that has that big vent looking thing with the red alarm light in it.

Dang dude subs crackin the dash? what kind of setup do you have? i put a dvd player in my car and it came with a center chanel speaker and i called about that center dash to make sure i wanted that speaker installed and it wasn't much. so don't worry about it too much.
