Here is what I think.....

I wouldn't even waste my time with building or buying an LS6. For the money you are going to have in the motor it isn't even worth it to be running 500 RWHP. I would go ahead and swap in a good built LT-1 and supercharge that. Use a budget build and you will get your goal of 500 RWHP.

As for the T-tops, there are tons of articles out there showing how to convert a hard top car into a t-top car....just do a littel digging.

But for myself I wouldn't want a 500 RWHP car and have t-tops...the body will twist and be all messed up with out subframes and a roll bar......

just my .02

ohh yeah also i will have subframe connectors and a roll bar and strut tower brace.

one more thing i save on weight with the ls6 or maybe ill just go with ls1 and put perfomance heads and a low rpm cam in

I own a 97LT1 and am glad I do not have t-tops. I would avoid them especially if you are going to add a roll bar...

why not buy nitrous. Jet your 3.8 to 50 or 70HP.. You cna take the kit to your lt-1 or ls1 later on... Save up some cash...
