Post which muffler???

Hey everyone. I have a stock 95 camaro 3.4 A4 and I want to put a muffler on, but there are just too many to choose from. What I want is LOUD all the time or most of the time without any ricey sound. I've heard flowmaster is good at idle and low rpm's, but when you really get on it, it sounds ricey. Please help!

I have a dynomax, but the flows sound better on the 3.4s than the 3.8s.

Thumbs up

I put a dynomax on the V6 Camaro I like the throaty sound it has compared to flows and dynomax has better hp gains.

FLOWMASTER all the way, heard other brands like flowmaster!, after I installed mine and turned it over the engine roared and you heard it, I can drowned out stock mustang gt's with out even trying!

Get the flowmaster 80 series, I don't think it sounds ricey at all! Ricey is the 3000GT that drives around here with two fart bomb hanging out it ars, and I drowned him out too,

bought it from a user on here for $60 and it came with the rear section with tips check this out.

I suggest Ravin! Get the z-55 or z-33 for even deeper sound. I've never heard a Ravin customer that didnt' love their muffler.

ok, what our problem here is is that our cars sound like ****. Why? cause we have v6s not v8s. If you REALLY REALLY wanna sound more like a v8 you can first start off with boreing your 3.4/3.8 to 30 over. That will start to give it a deeper sound. Then after that get good induction and a decent exhaust setup with headers and cat.

please post comments!

If you want just noise out of your V6 get those trendy flows

If you want a throaty sound get a dynomax, plus more hp gains then flows.

If you want a really good exhaust system and have the money get a cat back setup from a V8 f-body you can usually find used ones for about the same price as a dynomax or flowmaster.

Cool

For better sound you should get a complete cat-back and not just a muffler.A muffler will help with the sound but for a few $$ more you can get some nice performance gains also.Good luck.

next time why don't you spend a little more time on the board before you start making comments about more experanced members, I just want to say my opinion, btw I got two emails asking about my exhaust system after I posted that so whos the stupid one the person making dumb comments or the one with the actual experance that has something of relavence to say. I just wanted to have him take anouther look at flowmaster.

I have the 80 series flowmasters and really sounds great on my 3.4L. A good friend of my has a 3.4L with dynomax on it and to me it kind of sounds ***** like. Mine is not ricy at all. it has a nice rumble all the time rather than the dynomax. To me and mabe only me the dynomax sound KIND OF like a honda but not. I think flowmaster is the way to go. People say flow are raspy at high rpms but mine is not any ways you dont floor it all the time mostly city drivin. Flowmaster was the way to go for me.
