Making my own spark plug wires?

This is news to me

My buddy Eddy is going to help me correct the miss fire problem before it happens again so he proposed ontop of the normal things listed with wire shething just making our own wires so that we can route them away from the manifolds.
Is this practical? or worth it? or are we getting ourselves into something we shouldnt?

Sounds like you're asking for trouble.

Decent wires shouldn't be more than $50...maybe add some boots...or if you're really paranoid, wire "insulation".

I think its worth it...

I routed mine differently then how they were labeled to be mounted.

IF you do buy wires, I reccomend getting them here http://www.ftpp.net/V6Main.htm

Thats cool,
Eric- do you Know what style boot my car has? 90 degree or multi-angle?

Hopefully this is a winter project, I have the ACdelco wires now, but if anything I'd like to insulate them before summer.

Also, what brand wires on that site are the best? they have a few different brands- cost isnt a question although those hotwire wires are pretty expensive!
