not enough performance to justify removing it and risking something getting inside the motor.

i've been running my car without it for more than a year without any problems at all. corvettes doesn't have them and they run fine. i took mine out without any damage just in case i needed to put it back. is easy to remove.

Take off the lid and the tubes running to the TB.
you would the screen in the TB. Find a small pair of needle nose pliers. Place the tips on the pliers into the small holes in the retaining ring. Lightly sqeeze the pliers and pull the ring out, then carefully take the screen out.

wait for the next morning. then start your engine and wait for like 3 min. then your intake would be a little hot. that is when you take the screen out. it would be easy to remove it when the intake is hot.

you will notice a change on the exhaut tone. get a little deeper, and you would notice like more pull when reving high.

hope this help
