Question MAF sensor cleaning possible/or not?

i was reading that you can clean the little strand of wire that heats up in the MAF sensor, one is this true?, and 2 is this possible to do with a q-tip and a cleaner?

in most cases you can clean it but dont touch it get some throttle body cleaner and spray it lightly but if that doesnt work than it is no good

if it is giving you a hard time but you cant get one just unplug it you should be able to drive around liks that for a while and most cars will run better with it unplugged than having a junk one hooked up

mine has been unplugged for about a month now

Some parts stores will sell the MAF cleaner. I think others just use electronics cleaner. Just be very careful if you do run a Q-tip over it as that wire is very fragile. If your wire is contaminated, cleaning it should improve the drivability of the vehicle.
