LT1 TB on 3.4, can it be done?

Will a throttle body from an LT1 fit on a 3.4 V6.?

Also will LS1 injectors fit in the 3.4?

Thanks in advance.

LT1 throttle body can be made to fit yes. You have to fab somethings up though. Taigo has one. Find his site and you will see. A company that no longer works with our engine, Nu-Teck, did the work.

The LT1 TB ought to outflow the 3.4 one, but by how much and would it even be a worthwhile mod? Something tells me it woudlnt be worth the swap.

It won't be of much help unless you have some real mods like a big cam some headers or a power adder.

It will be better than the 3.4 TB

what he said and Tiago did do it. Personally I would look into getting that other stuff taken care of before you do the TB, better to do the big things then work tyhe little stuff around it.

you do everyhting you said but still have a 3.4L TB, your car will be much faster. YOu put on a lt1 TB and don't do the other stuff, you will barely notice a difference, but a dent in your wallet.

just my thoughts...

If you're going to do all that, why not just get an actual LT1? Why spend all the extra money on the 3.4 when you could find a complete LT1 for $500 to $1000?

Ace_437 does have a good point. To each his own - do whatever floats your boat!

Because a trans, driveshaft, rearend, PCM, wireing harness, and cooling system also cost money as well.

Some people just do not understand the potential that the 3.4L has. It just needs a little coaxing to become a mean machine.

Ryan
I beg to differ

work it , it will put out hp

my plans will take it into the 500 hp range, I hvaen't spent as much as a lt1 swap on teh engine yet.... will be a little more after my new motor, but then again I will have a unique 500 hp 3.4, not a STOCK lt1.

Id like to think my car is pretty unique already even at 300 ish hp that its at right now. Its worth it to me, but to each their own

BTW I have the LT1 thorttle body, check my site for pics.
