Question

You're talking about this problem like it's a monster hidden in your engine or something. It's a machine; if their is something wrong with it, there's something wrong with it.

What is you're car doing? Or even a better question; not doing?

Pop the CAT off, and run it open Y-pipe, I know it will hurt your performance in the long run, but I ran 16.2s like that, maybe on an average car 16.8s, either way if you run a little better, then maybe its shows its somethign wrong with the exhaust, system. Its jsut one exhasut clamp, and alot fo rust.

Do you have a multi-meter, I hear there is a way to test your TPS, maybe its sending a signal of half throttle instead of full, I planning on checking mine out along with any ohter sensor I can with my chilton's manual and multimeter, also may want ot check the coils out.

Hey the guy w/ the Z obviously wasnt around last week,we got it Red.
Anyway you asked for "thoughts" I think the Cat is worth a try,my though is...Cats restrict flow regardless, and a 2 1/2" cat on a 2 1/2 system ,the cat lets it by slower(normal)
But with the 3" I see better chance of increasing the velocity passed the cat(maintaining the intake volume & velocity,or close to),b/c it starts 2 1/2 ,ends 2 1/2(exhaust& Y)the restriction spot now 3"cat.,has more filter mass to process 2 1/2"s of exhaust,Quicker.Especially since its a high flow to boot

MustangE I do that too...You can tell on alot of things if they're bad, somtimes you may not even know.

All_in red,I still (since you drag) Think you should squirt

Well stopped by the Chevy dealer tonight, drove a 02 Z28.......wow.

They had one for 19K......and another for 22K.

But in the meantime, gonna do some checking tomorrow and see what I can find.

Thanks for the ideas BROs!!!!

I'll keep ya posted.

As for "juice", might not be a good idea if there is fueling problems now

.........just might have to put in a 396 after that

The TPS checks out ok

Gotta see if I can find my FI fuel pressure tester. Gonna check the Fuel Pressure next, and then try and get into the MAP sensor next.

Fuel Pressure checked out ok. 46psi max pressure. 38psi running pressure.

Vacuum checked the car too.

Idle Vacuum 18psi.
Snap Throttle 24psi
.....but here's the "hick-up"

In park....at 2200 rpm......20psi.
In drive...at 2200 rpm......8psi steady.

I think me need to go to the "pound" and find me a new ***** "CAT".
